Hello everyone. It's time to put in for my 2009 vacation. I wanted to take a couple of weeks in the spring for the striper run. This will be my first year on the river. I usually take all my vacation in Nov. for Hunting but I really want to fish this year. What would be the best time to take vacation? I have my boat on the water in Croton on the Hudson just don't know when to take off from work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I would say the best time if you plan on the fishing the Croton area would be
Anytime from April 22nd to the May 4th time frame. This should ensure that you get into the best fishing and for some trophy bass as well. Hope that helps you out.
Just finished deer season and already thinking about the river...cant wait to put the boat in...just bought new line yesterday. ha. this will be my second year on the river and after one season, and reading everyones tips and tricks on this board, I'm hooked and ready for my second season!
