Not to argue but why would they say not to eat fish outta the water that people drink. After striper season I spend 2-3 nights a week on the roundout resv. till fall. Been doing it since a kid and have never heard that before. Just wondering trying to learn something new. As far as the stripers, my personal opinion is not to eat anything under 20lbs. The little ones stay in the river for a few years and seeing what is and has been put into the river idk if I could stomach it. (I know of at least two open sewer pipes draining straight into the river) Once they have been in salt water for a year or so id imagine it cant be that bad. Ive had back to back striper nights where I had a small one and then a bigger one and myself and the moochers all agreed that you can taste the diffrence. Who knows tho. Tight lines all.
