Default Possible new state record caught???

I just read on the riverbasin website that there was a report of a 61 pound striper taken down by newburgh. Can anyone confirm?

as a resident of cornwall, past 2 days i havent seen more then 2 boats on the river as i shore fish or jus hang down in the park. and i doubt someone caught a fish that big from shore in newburgh, but it could happen. i dont wanna imagine tryin to get a fish that big into shore here in cornwall with all the rocks

there has been an imginary school of giant striped bass swimming around dennings point they are being landed by naked fisherman on peyote. in otherwords fertilizer

New 61# pound record broken allready.Caught a 64# last night at the river on a green&blue easter egg.

according to the river basin site the bass wer caught in somebodys net along with some 50 pounders. the 61 pounder didnt survive . words cant describe how this pisses me off

Yea I read that too, makes me mad too now no one is gonna catch that fish, killed a big fish for nothing, ridiculous!!!!!!!

This is the kind of stuff that should piss off all of us anglers. I once had a netter boast to me about selling fish to some fishermen. He was bragging to the wrong guy, I'll tell you that much. It is a good idea for our fishery to release some fish. It feels good letting a big fish go. Hope everyone has a great season.
