you mean how long does it last on a plug after it dries..or how long is a mixed batch of the oil and spirits good for sitting on a shelf.

i would venture to say the sealing effectiveness on a finished plug (when mixed and dried properly) should last many many years. im sure the amount of damage to the finish can effect the time span too.

a mixed batch of mineral oil and spirits should last a year or more. when exposed to oxygen frequently i think a lot of the oil gels up and has a hard time completeley drying at that stage. a good rule of thumb is to make a fresh batch every season. however when stored in a good airtight can and shaken regularly i have had it last longer than a year with no issues. roc mentioned in another thread that the best way to tell the oil is junk is when you try sanding the plug after youve sealed it and let it "dry". your paper shouldnt clog and the plug shouldnt feel tacky of waxy.
