Capt. Rich Tenreiro, noted charter captain and co-host of the nationally syndicated fishing show Northeast Angling, has joined forces with Capt. Ken Tokar and the Queens based Angler Fleet, to add a new dimension of service for those wishing to partake in the bountiful harvest of the western Long Island Sound.
The Angler II is a 50 ft. fiberglass fishing vessel with 450 horses pushing out an honest 15 knot cruise making this a boat that spends its time fishing, not getting there. She is Coast Guard rated to carry 38 passengers, and the plan is to utilize this vessel for open as well as private charters. She will be berthed in Manhasset Bay at Inspiration Wharf in Port Washington, with plenty of free parking for patrons. Atlantic Outfitters, a full service tackle shop is on the premise for all your bait and tackle needs.
Manhasset Bay provides the perfect location for accessing all the prime bass, blue, weakfish, fluke, porgy and blackfish action of the Western Sound from Little Neck Bay to the Eaton's Neck Triangle.
While Capt. Rich and Capt. Ken share a wide range of fishing knowledge and coast to coast experience, both consider these waters their "home stomping grounds", having been raised locally and fishing here since childhood. Both Captains still maintain state of the art "six pack" charter boats, so their traditional small party charter service remains uninterrupted.
Remember, striper season starts April 15th, and western sound is the bottleneck through which Hudson River breeder bass pass during the spring migration. Get in on the big fish action with captains who know.
For more information or to book a charter, call Capt. Ken at (917) 301-3237 or Capt Rich at(516) 369-7707. The ANGLER web site(www.theangler.com) will be going through some major reconstruction so please bear with them.
