Default I THINK I NEED COUNSELING.

MY NAME IS JIM. I AM A NEWBIE TO THIS SITE. I HAVE BEEN STRIPER FISHING FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS. MY FIRST KEEPER WAS 37" AT 18# FROM THAT DAY ON, LIKE ALL OF YOU, I WAS HOOKED. I SPEND MOST OF MY TIME DRIVING TO SAULSBURY/PLUM OR CC CANAL, BOTH DRIVES TAKE ABOUT 1 1/2 TO 2 HOURS FROM WHERE I LIVE. I MUST SAY IT'S WORTH THE DRIVE. I SURFCAST MOSTLY, WITH THE OCCASIONAL BOAT TRIP WITH A BUDDY. THE WIFE THINKS I NEED THERAPY, AND ITS HARD TO EXPLAIN THATS WHAT FISHING IS. I HAVE MUCH MORE TIME TO PUT IN HONING MY SKILLS AS WELL AS FINDING MY OWN HOLES. THE POSTS I HAVE READ ON THIS SITE HAVE BEEN HELPFUL FOR ME AND I THANK ALL OF YOU FOR THEM. FRIDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY MORN WIL MOST LIKELY BE THIS YEARS LAST TRIP TO THE CANAL(ACCORDING TO MY WIFE) I WILL LET YOU KNOW HOW I DO, AND I AM NOT SCARED OF ANY ADVISE THE PROS HAVE TO OFFER BEFORE I DEPART. THANKS AGAIN, JIM.

Aboard Jim. Glad to have you. Don't worry about the therapy thing. Your wife will think you don't need it anymore as the spring arrives and it'll just go back to oh, okay, maybe you do need therapy again. Good luck on your outing.

Jim,
do what I do when the wife thinks I
Fish
Paintball
Bike Ride
Too much.....hover around the house, making unwanted sexual advances till she begs you to leave!
Remind her that absence makes the heart grow fonder!

Your not going to get much counseling here. We're all addicted to fishin. thats why were here I've had loved ones tell me that they were worried about me because I fish so much. I worry about people that don,t do things they enjoy. life is short, you can't take it to seriously ;)

Any striper fisherman (or woman) worth their salt needs therapy!

Have you ever fished 21 nights straight( yes in a row, no nights off) with out catching a fish, only to catch one the 22nd night and throw it in bed with your wife? (because she insists to her friends that there MUST be another woman, no one fishes that much) been there done that.... who needs therapy now????? Welcome to the sight

for the record she's now my ex

hang with the sight all winter and I'll help you with a Plum Island crista.

hang a corker this weekend mate!

I HAVE NOT FISHED 21 DAYS STRAIGHT, HOWEVER I HAVE DRIVEN 2 HOURS 21 TIMES ONLY TO COME HOME WITH MUCH LESS HARDWARE, SEA WATER SOAKED CLOTHES, TALES ABOUT SKANKY SCHOOLIES AND THE BIG BITE THAT DIDNT MAKE IT TO SHORE. TOO MANY TRIPS I HAVE MADE WHERE I ABSOLUTELY HAMMERED SCHOOLIES BUT NO KEEPERS. I DO HOPE THIS WEEKEND IS THE KEEPER TRIP, MY WIFE MIGHT SHUT HER TRAP IF I FILL THE FREEZER, AND I MIGHT SHUP UP UNTIL SPRING.
I DO LIKE THE FISH IN THE BED STORY, MAYBE THATS A GOOD PLACE TO FILLET THE FAT COW THATS COMMING HOME THIS WEEKEND.

I LIVE IN PHILLIPSTON MA, HOWEVER I CLOSE ON A CONDO NEXT FRIDAY, I WILL BE MOVING TO WINCHENDON. I GUESS YOU WOULD CALL IT NORTH CENTRAL MA. SALT WATER IS A HAUL EITHER WAY FOR ME. BUT I DONT CARE, GAS COULD BE TEN BUCKS A GALLON AND I WOULD FIND A WAY TO THE WATER, ROD IN HAND.
