SILVERWOOD: Big stripers are on the bite. Greg Silks, Rialto, maker of the Z-Plug, tapped the lake for stripers weighing 40-0, 32-0, and 10-0 on his plugs. All fish were released after being photographed. A 28-9 was landed by Nick Franklin, Rancho Cucamonga, on an Osprey. Chris Allen, Riverside, landed a 25-0 on an A.C. Plug. Stripers from 1-0 to 2-0 are still being landed in good numbers on cut anchovies, cut sardines, chicken livers, and nightcrawlers. Top areas for stripers have been Cleghorn Cove, Sawpit Canyon, and the boat docks, which are open to fishing on weekdays.

SILVERWOOD: Good catfish and striper action and a fair largemouth bass bite. The stripers are showing around at the boat dock, Miller Canyon, along the dam and the quarry area. Fish are running from 2-0 up, with an increasing number of quality fish boiling on baitfish. Walter Elias, Glendale, caught a 40-0 striper on a nightcrawler fishing near the dock. Frank Judd, Pomona, landed stripers at 14-0 and 8-0, also on nightcrawlers, in Miller Canyon tossing the bait into a boil.
