Hi - I just got back into fishing this year after not going for 13 years (got remarried then and got away from it). I had fished most of my life - grew up in Rockport, Ma. and that's about all there is to do there as a kid
From boat, I fish off Rockport and Gloucester. From land - Rockport.
This site is great, but I've spent a fortune on gear since I found it!
We just had a bunch of new members join from the southern states like South Carolina and Georgia. Welcome to all you guys. Hopefully we can get enough support to split the Carolinas into regional boards, with specific impoundment forums, thats the long term goal.
Welcome to all. Enjoy the board.

Hi Everyone,
Just joined the site yesterday and i love it. Lots of great info. I live in CT and fish the connecticut and Farmington rivers for stripers in the spring. Also lots of other freshwater bass fishing. I vacation in southern maine every august and fish pretty much all day and night for 2 weeks. I look forward to sharing fish stories with you all. Good luck!
I'm a new member to your site as of today. I live in NYC, moved here last year from North Carolina. I've always heard of the passion for Striped Bass you all have up here which is probably similar to the passion for Red Drum that exists down south. I'm looking forward to catching that 1st 'Striper' and very excited to have found this forum. Have already learned plenty just browsing through the posts and am very grateful to all for the info. Anyone that has plans to fish any of the VA, NC or SC coastal waters and looking for any info, let me know and I'll do my best to point you in the right direction.
Just dropped in, getting ready for the season. I go down to Atlantic beach accross from the Rockaways. Some nice stripes during the year. Just waiting for the beach club to open in one more week. Only a few of us down there each year. Stay thirsty my friends. Johnny G. :navy:
I'm originally from Virginia, where I fished small and large mouth, trout, and cat on the North Fork of the Shenandoah; Lake Anna, the Rappahannonck and Potomac Rivers for rock, and a little bit of rock in Massacheusetts.
Now I live in Maine, mostly fishing stripers on the Kennebec near Bath or surf casting at Popham Beach.
