Default Reel questions

Hi all, new here and a quick question for the experts. I live in DE and fish the inlet, bays and surf for stripers, flounder and who knows what else. I have two penn 750 reels and am in the market for another reel. What are some other makes/ brands/ model numbers that compare to the 750? Nothing wrong with penn's but in the mood for something else. Not a $1000 reel but something in the same ball park as the 750. spinning model and I use power pro

Check out the Quantum Cabo PT series. I've found them to be excellent reels with a super smooth drag.

Nothing better to replace your 750 then the reel designed by the factory to replace it :)

I could very well buy the 1050.. just for the spool. Somebody at Shakespeare was listening. I was shocked that tackle makers want to improve gear to make it as indestructable (remains to be seen here) but, just like st croix, who won't surpass thier legend series comes out with brand new rod claiming all new technology just feeds the mindset that companies will never cease to insult our inteligence. Can i make the best and finest mouse trap? Sure.. but i can make soooooo much more offering dozens of shiney items to the majority of unsuspecting and undereducated fisherman. The advent of social media has voiced concerns about everything gone wrong with the industry so if your gonna TRY and pull the wool over anyones eyes now? The product better now be up to snuff..
