Default matching a reel to rod

recently picked up a st Croix mojo inshore 7" heavy currently have a penn ssv 4500 on it with 20lb braid. also have a 7" st Croix mojo surf with a penn clash 4000. both reels feel a tad small for the inshore. Wodering if the clash 5000 would be to large for the mojo inshore. mostly want the extra line capacity and only store that has stocked the reels is currently out of the 5000s

For 7' rods a 4000/4500 size reels are fine. What line are you using? You get more line on a reel with braid

How much line do you need and what do you plan on catching that you need more line? Sounds like you can fit plenty of line...
