Reality Check quick
My son and I were out tonight cashing in on a good bite... Boated about 8 bass from 15lbs - 22lbs.
We started to leave while the bite was still on but it was dark and looked like fog a few miles away. I got a mile from where we were fishing and a boater called for a tow company because he was sinking... a quick response from another boater told him to hail the coast guard.. coast guard responding and he gave a brief description of where he was it I was a mile away... 10 seconds later radio silence after many calls by coast guard. By this time I was already turned around and my son was pulling out my throw rings and getting the floating glow sticks out... joined two or so other boaters and a sea tow flew in real quick... they were picked up and the boat sank quick... glad everyone was safe but just wanted to post becareful out there... something like that makes you think and double check safety items
