Marking the occasional fish in the deeper channel, but the large hungy schools are definitely not here. River is a bit bouncy today.

Hit it hard yesterday with nothing to show for it. Hope you have better luck out there, should be a nice day weather wise.

First fish of the season, 35fow bloods/crawlers.

Turning into a nice day, still a bit bouncy though. A few boats out, but they scattered trying to find the schools.

The booth wasnt open when we launched at.6am, but I heard its open so we'll probably have to pay when we retrieve. Ive never had any luck catching herring in the river and with the no transportation law creeks are out. We've tried fresh dead chunked in the past, but it's just not the same. Bloods 10ft down or on bottom seem to get it done ok, this mornings fish came off the bottom.

Transportation law is done, you ARE allowed to transport herring along the river corridor now.

Nice fish. Only had to pay once out of maybe a dozen times so I'm hoping the odds are in your favor. Was also gonna mention that you can now transport bait along the corridor but saw someone already commented.

Any more luck out there and congrats again on the 1st of the year...
