Having worked at a seafood packing place in Point Jude,,,
3 grades of squid come in.
People grade, (fresh, firm, cleaned & properly iced at sea)
bait grade, (been on the boat too long, could smell)
and the "special grade" (definately smelled and limp) that we'd leave behind the boss' seat for effect.
In all honesty,,,, People grade was sometimes "iffy" bait grade. Meaning it could go either way if frozen fast enough. Not really top shelf.
Hmmm, wonder why they're gone?
