Striper Kings is a not-for-profit, family oriented, striped bass fishing club, representing over 500 families from the upstate area of South Carolina. Our current active membership is over 200 family's predominately from Greenville, Spartanburg, and Anderson counties. However, we have active members from as far north as Hendersonville NC, and as far south as Columbia SC. An active member is defined as someone who attends club functions and/or pays their $10 annual membership dues. Our nominal membership dues cover the entire family, including youth under age 18.

Striper Kings was organized in 1981 and incorporated, in 1992, under Federal tax laws as a South Carolina not-for-profit organization. Our purpose, as stated in our by-laws, is to promote striped bass fishing through organized fellowship and education. Therefore, a good portion of our business activities are aimed at providing information concerning striped bass issues, and instruction on successful striped bass fishing techniques. Striper Kings meetings and activities are advertised and promoted in the GREENVILLE NEWS each Sunday, in our club Newsletter, THE FREELINER as well as other area fishing publications. Striper Kings regular meetings are open to the general public at no cost or obligation. Visitors are always welcome.

Striper Kings functions include wildlife conservation projects, youth activities, Striped Bass fishing tournaments, Club business meetings, and training/informational seminars. Striper Kings does not discriminate against anyone based on color, creed, religion, or nationality. We have members representing many of the wonderfully different people that make up the Upstate South Carolina Region.
