Default Surf rod advice

Hey guys, I've been fishing with a 2 piece 7 uglystick BWS for fishing from the surf, pier, canal, inlets, and more.
I remember at one point getting an 8ft or 7.6ft 1 piece thinner ugly stik from walmart that could cast 1/4-3 oz waaaaaay farther than the original, unfortunately one of it's guides broke and I returned it.

I'd like any suggestions on a 7-10ft rod that can cast 1/2-3 oz pretty far out, the price range is $40-120.

(I know that there are many other factors in long casting but I'd just like some rod advice)

I've never used one myself, but these seem to get pretty good reviews and are in your price range. Available at Dick's...

Thanks for the advice Jake. I'll be putting this in my top 3 choices for when I finally buy.

I did look at some Okuma rods, but either I looked at the bad ones or the rods are of lower quality than I used to think. But for any future readers, I recommend as decent surf rods;

The cabela whuppin and salt striker rods

Uglystik bigwater and GX2 rods

And the Tica dolphin rods

I find that these are very nice quality rods at good prices

Fish on!
