Default New to Board

Just joined today......I've always been a catfish and crappie fishing in SC, but recently have been doing some striper fishing at Wateree. Looking forward to picking up tips and sharing reports.

Welcome, Dash........................
Ever hit the Santee/cooper, Marion and moultry?
Did some fishing down there when I had in-laws, now former. Live shad worked well for both Bass and large or should I say behemouth cats.
Was amazed by the similarities between schooling bass in the fresh compared to salt. Got to watch several blitz's when out there.

Gunny......Santee Cooper is my favorite lake system. It's nice to be within a couple hours of such great fishing. Striper action there is not as good as it was 20 years ago, but it's not bad. I've got personal best catfish out of there with a 51lb flathead and also a 1.75lb shellcracker. It's an awesome place, although the drought has the water real low.
