Default Surf casting conditions from Hartford CT area?

Hi guys!
My first time posting here. Great site by the way!
My question is, is anyone taking anything from the surf, around the Hartford area as of yet? I live on the tiny coast of NH and thought I might get a jump on some action, if any.

, my friend. In Hartford we don't have a surf. We have the CT. river which will have the big gals for the month of May.

Yup, pretty flat, shallow water in these parts. We manged to cover the sand bar in New Haven and along some of the shore of east Haven. Brought in a few schoolies with jigs. That's about it! Dee's tackle and bait said they weighed in a 30#er that morning. Somebody is going to work this week, with a grin on his face!

There are areas east of New Haven that are decent as well. This time of the year where rivers meet the Sound. Heck, they're all good when the fish are there.
