Whaddya do with all this stuff?

I'm waiting on chisels, and wood. As I understand it, wood is a fundamental part of plug building

My neighbor Mike walked in the garage the other day, and sees me building a bench for the lathe and tells me he's got some benchtop tools from his father-in-law, the next day I have a Central Machine drill press and sander, a Penn State Ind scroll saw, and a Craftsman band saw. Am I lucky or what? I need to upgrade the bandsaw, but for now, it will cut lip slots.

28" I doubt it, 28 bottles or cans, no problemo.......
Course, it is the bait fridge, would you prefer bunker or clam scented beer?
Perhaps squid and spearing?

Oh, and there are no 28" fish in NJ anyway, so......

The Turncrafter is made by Penn State Industries, and the Jet, I assume, is made by Jet. I went with the Turncrafter based on several positive reviews from here and other forums, and so far, so good. Glad I ordered mine when I did, Amazon is now sold out.

And as far as electric in Howell, we just do what everybody else around here does, we run some wires over to the neighbor's meter.

Other than being red, there is very little differance between the Jet and the Turncrafter, they are almost Identicle... I've got 2 years and 600 plugs, give or take a few on mine, as well as bowls, wine stoppers, base ball bats and a host of projects... still runs as good as the day I got it, still on the first belt....

Ed, one day after the holidays Gary, Chum, myself and probably one or two more guys will be getting together over at Diggers place to play with pluggage.
I'll let you know when.

Also, are you planning on getting a duplicator ??

Missed you at the Christmas party.

Sudsy,
It would be great to spend a little time around guys who know what they're doing. I have a pretty good idea what I want to do, and a fair idea of how to get there, but there's a lot to be said for experience, and as far as woodworking goes, I have only a little. I'd be glad to bring along anything that might be needed.
Had to miss the Christmas thing for a family thing. Missed the meeting too, but I'll be there at the next one.

As far as a duplicator goes, I probably will, once my budget has a chance to recover, maybe not for this plug building seson, but for next year for sure. This year will probably be spent copying plugs that I know will work, and trying things of my own, and for that, I'll be doing them one-at-a-time. Rather find out that one of them doesn't work, than 10 of them.
