Default Trolling the aquaduct

I took a buddy out today after a long deliberation, over beer, as to whether my idea of trolling the aquaduct would work or not.

So we tried it at the mendota today.we couldnt stop laughing when the first one hit.

Think anyone might want to figure how we did it before i post it?

My idea works!..................................................how did we do it?

total fish weight with this technique on the first try.
14lbs, a 3 and an 11.

I was on one side and my buddy was on the other side.
I threw him the line from my side, he wrapped some line on a 1" wood dowel.

I tied on a three way swivel and attached a pre cut 50' leader with a duo lock snap and a rattle trap, (silver with black back).

We could fish the whole channel form side to side by one of us letting line out and the other taking up the slack.

We could also follow the duct service road to cover a long stretch of the duct.
The first fish came within the first quarter mile of "aquaduct trolling" and the second came ten minutes later covering the same water we just fished.

We laughed like hell. It was like it was our first fish ever.

They can work if the current is the right speed. I bought one to try in a canal near me, but the current was just too strong for it. Sounds like you guys had a blast

After seeing a video on YouTube about these. I've wanted to get one. How difficult are they to use?
