Default Newbie looking for help

Hi there, I am an Aussie living in Maine and keen to get started beach/shore fishing for stripers. I haven't fished much at all since moving to the States 13 years ago, but I spent many years fishing in Australia.....favorite target there was Tailor aka Bluefish. I am ready to go and would love to hook up with someone who can show me the ropes.....not looking to steal anyone's secret spots, just need some advice! I live in Gorham and can fish anywhere along the south to mid coast.

Thanks,

John

jb, there are a few places you can go fish & give it a try.

Old Orchard Beach (OOB) give up fish frequently.

Saco, specifically the rock jetty at Camp Ellis, produces fish.

Pine Point in Scarborough, or Ferry Beach, both locations
can produce fish.

These areas are well known to many fisherman, so no spot burning going on here.

I may be available to go out either Wednesday or Thursday night, depends on a couple of things. Are you available to fish at night (sun set or later?).

I got a 2-1/2 hour drive from my place to York. As long as it is a little shorter LOL. I might give it a shot.
