Lake Anna - Freshwater stripers

I am new to fresh water stripers in Va, , looks like trolling is the best bet for the colder temps. in lake Anna . What bait should I be using and where should I be looking for the fish?? Thanks for any help or advice. FreeBee

I, too, have been trying Lake Anna. I think the gizzard shad are producing the best results. I'm not sure where to find them, though. Perhaps in the backs of creeks and coves, or around boat ramps/bridge pilings. You can pick up a GMCO map of the lake (at Gander Mnt). It shows the areas of the lake by month that hold stripers. The bite should be turning on now that the temps are falling.

Have you tried umbrella rigs? They work good in the cold in Tn.
