Review - Ande 30# braid
I've been trying out the Ande 30# braid for a few months now on my 9' surf rig with a Team Daiwa 4500 Advantage spinning reel and I'm very impressed with the stuff. It's not widely distributed yet but if you come across a spool you should give it a go.
30# test @ 6# diameter - really, really thin for the test strength probably why for me it's longer casting then the 20# Fireline I had been using on this setup. It's so thin that casting heavy loads without finger protection could be a bad thing. I've been using it off the Jersey jetties with all the barnacle and mussel encrusted rocks and so far it's been very abrasion resistant plus, with a fully loaded spool I haven't had a single wind knot.
Haven't tried it on conventional yet.
Next test (if I can find another spool) will be to load one of my 706's and see how it does for the fall run and Montauk.
