When fishing from a boat with a Sabiki rig, I tie on a 1/2 oz. weight, and just jig it vertically.

Remember, if yer fishing in NJ in fresh water, the Delaware River for example, you can only have three hooks on your sabiki rig - most come with 5 hooks, cut two off.

You can also get them at the River Basin in Catskill. I forgot to write earlier that once I catch some herring, I put a live one on a smaller circle hook and it works much better.

Mustad also makes the Piscator rig(similar to Sabiki). I seem to do better w/ size 10 hooks vs the size 8's. You should be able to find them for around $3.00 ea.

You guys are kinda confusing me. Why do you buy a license? According to the regs you only need one if you're selling the bait.

if you have a dip net bigger than 13x13 you have to get a dip netting permit if you call dec they will give you the info so you can get the permit from the fisheries unit its only a 2 dollar permit
