I personally suggest Owner or Eagle Claw hooks.
You can get a really good deal on owner hooks at amazon.com.
Im a freshwater striper fisher myself, I would suggest staying away from the octopus circle hooks. I know so many people suggest them, because they are good for catch and release. But there is no doubt in my mind that they have lost me fish, and I'll never use one again.
You are going to probably want a 3/o or 4/o hook, but it mainly depends on the size of the bait you are using. Thats what I normally work with, but last night I was using bigger bait with a 6/o hook. Just make sure you don't use a hook way too big for your bait.
