Just picked this up..Couldn't say no for the price. Solid looking reel and preformance looks great. I will be fishing this reel on my 7' footer that i picked up at the RISSA show for smaller bass till the big ones get here. I will fish it hard ,then open it and give you my review, looks like one of the more solid penn reels.
Anyone else own one give me your 2 cents.

It is an awesome reel. When I first bought it I didn't expect it to be that good just because it was cheaper than most of the reels that I buy. I was wrong. In my opinion it out performs some of the more expensive reels I have seen out there. So far I haven't had a problem with it, even after dropping it in the sand/water a good amount of times and forgetting to clean it off right away
I bought a 4000 at the end of last season and it balances perfectly with my Trevala jigging rod . I've only hooked one fish on it so far but the Sargus seems like a good solid reel.
I was surprised at how loud the drag clicker sounded on a dark still night.
Looking foreward to giving it a work out this season.
I have the SG3000. Very good value. No probs with it at all. Bought a second one as well. Great with 15 lb. or 20 lb power pro for light tackle fishing.
