Re: what bait works
Welcome Aboard....you might want to try the search button first you may be able to find what your looking for without having to wait for a response from someone laughing at the fact you have dough listed as a potential bait....
Oh I voted dough because it tends to be pretty awesome for baking at times!

Dough, really??? At the risk of sounding like a dink, may I ask where you got the idea from??? Stick around for a bit man, read through all the forums, ask questions and wear out the search button. Best of luck in all your future fishing and baking related endeavors, LOL !!!!!

I voted dough because without dough you can't buy any bait!

Re: what bait works
dough will get ya to strip. but will it get ya anything else? i would try crankbaits instead of bait. the flat sided ones with a rattle in em. cast out and worked sloooooooow and with a rod twitch every 4 or 5 turns.

Re: what bait works
I see your out in Bakersfied California. The prevelent bait out your way is anchovies I believe. The 70 pounder that was caught earlier this year at San Luis was taken on a pile worm. Look through dodomans and striperbills posts in the west coast forum you will see them using swimbaits and bucktails. I dont know it they are bay or sea anchovies but a white bucktail will mimic those buggers. Here we call the bay anchovies rainfish.
