A good friend and I decided to hit the water Christmas day (after all of the family festivities the night before) and I got a personal best fish...my scales go to 50 and she maxed 'em out. We were fishing a warm water discharge of a nuke plant with cut skipjack. I've never really gone after big blues in a serious way, but that may soon change ;).

I've hear rumor that the power plants have a hard time getting divers to do work under water because of some of the huge and nasty looking stuff swimming around. Any truth to that rumor

Nukes lakes are a great place to fish.they keep the water temp up and the bait fish love it.

other guides in this area claim that blues dont move to warm water,that may be true but they really go where the bait is,and in nuke lakes that is as close to the discharge as you can get without going to jail.

Nice fish and keep up the blue hunting,its very rewarding!

I have heard that all my 47 years,Think they need a new job if so.Sounds like something I would say for more money if I was a young driver.

My dad workes at sharron harris nuke and they have no problem with drivers except the clearnece they have to go thru just to get on a nuke plant now.
