'03 Merc 125 surging/dying

'03 Merc 125 Saltwater

I was running WOT and everything was fine. Slowed to trolling speed and motor started running rough. Giving more throttle didn't help until max and then it jumped (surged). Neutral seemed fine throughout power band. I was 7 miles out and I immediately took the boat home. Ran fine at WOT but when I slowed in the harbor it was rough.

Changed all filters (Racor & inline). Racor filter had only seen 50 gallons. Inline filter looked fine. Now if I put the throttle at high idle (3,000 rpm) it surges. Bulb is rock hard.

Ideas?

This is killing me. The Bonito are in and I want some BAD.

Little rubber balls found in main fuel line. Will replace all fuel lines and clean the 4 carbs.
