Newbie in Mass
Hi everyone,
My kids just got me back into fishing (used to fish with my dad, mostly off jetties and trolling from a rowboat off Newport in So. Cal.). I do a bit of freshwater fishing with my kids, and this past August my youngest (3 1/2) said she wanted to go fishing at the beach (she saw some surfcasters on the beach near my sister-in-law's beach place). So now I've got a 9' spinning combo from a tackle shop in Falmouth and a couple of bags of swim shads with variously sized bluefish-shaped bites out of the tails. I don't get much fishing time (mostly when we hit my sister-in-law's place), but am going to try to learn to catch some stripers with jigs and tins (although at this point I'd settle for hooking up some of those blues that were hitting my swim shads...).
