Default Charging System 120 Mariner
Friend of mine just bought an older boat with a 120 Mariner somewhere in the late 80's. He is having trouble with the charging system, batterys keep going dead, loss of power. Is this run off of a magneto or alternator ? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all in advance !!

Sorry guys, I was just informed that it is a Force engine not a Mariner.

Put a voltmete on it when running and see how much its putting out. Could very well be a short somewhere that is draining the battery.
