I use a leader pouch. More specificly targeted fo fly fishermen, but works well. I cut down 2 index cards per pouch section so I may triple the amount it'll hold. I've grouped it to hook size and leader length (12-48")

I have more trouble with my fly leaders complete with droppers being easily accesable and not tangled at night time.

I have one soft sided bag that holds plastic utility boxes and a lot of labeled boxes to go in it full of tackle.(not all at 1 time).I put my combos on shelves in the shed. I keep all of my tools in their own hard tackle box. I have one large cooler for fish with a smaller one for food/ drink in it. In the shed i also have a mini fridge and freezer for extra bait and chum. I also have a small file cabinet with pics of all my catches.

20+ years of fishin and I can't believe I didn't think of the small sandwich baggies. I started that this year after reading roccus' post. Baggy method rules.

I'm not even close to being in the same league as you Roc but I'm on my way with those tips you give

Tackle update. Found in cellar one undernourished fool lost in the tackle area who couldn't,t find his way out.He had red eyes when we found him if think he was crying, anyway we didn't shoot him because the weekend neighbors were down and could have heard the noise or seen us take out the body. The bride says i should thin out some of the needed stuff but that's because she doesn't fish

Every spring, I dig a hole in the back yard, get last year's tackle box, bury it and start over

Actually, I have a shed in back with space. I have three tackle boxes and a couple of plastic cases. I keep rock cod gear in one, ocean in another, freshwater in another and use the plastic boxes to select my arsenal for whatever I'm targeting at the moment. I only bury the ocean box 'cause my cleaning stops after the filet. Rod & reels are treated much better. My reels from 20+ years ago are still in great working order. I have a few rods 30+ years old, but I'm slowly replacing them.

i try to keep things neat and in place but it never seems to work out that way......the essentials..knapsack, surf bag, sandspikes, one tackle box, waders, boots, and rain gear always in the car..ready to go!!. other stuff and rods and reels in a very cluttered closet.
Modus Operandi...I put the kids to sleep .... I grab my rods and run to the surf....my bait is hitting the water by 12 minutes after I left the house!!!

I made a rod holder for in my garage that holds all of my spinning and conventional combos except my one piece surf rod which hangs from the ceiling. My fly combos live in their cases.

I have 2 vests one for fly and the other for spinning trout. Each one is gone through before each outing and whatever is to left behind sits on my dresser awaiting my return.

I have 8 tackle boxes. Each for a specific type or species of fish. I have a myriad of plano boxes to interchange for my softside and bellyboat. 3 cardboard boxes:
2 full of soft plastics with homemade dividers seperated into type 1for dark colors and 1 for light.
1 that contains line and terminal tackle.

I have 3 surf bags one that I carry and the other two are for storage. Also have ziploc bags for overflow and lead (for when my girlfriend wants to go chunkin)

Thats the organized part. There is also stuff just lying around, spare pieces and parts, stuff I didn't like, stuff I thought was cool, and the stuff I don't use anymore but just can't part with.
