Default tailwater fishing

Hasn't been a whole lot of activity on the hybrid forum lately so I thought Id post a pic of a catch. Fish weighed just a little over 12lbs. We were freelining large shad just after dark and it didnt take long for this fellow to play wack-a-mole with my bait. Fish was quickly released unharmed.

Now thats a beauty. 12 pound hybrid fights like a 40 pound striper. yes?

The hybrid or striper both fight really well, but I think its more of a difference in the fight than anything. Hybrids tend to make hard, short runs straight down (kinda makes your drag sound like a machine gun). Stripers tend make long horizontal runs away from the boat, making your drag sound like a sewing machine.
