fished castleton today and yesterday. couple runs yesterday, 2 catfish and a bakers dozen herring. caught 3 today with as many runs. ample amount of herring. it is clearing, and they are still there.
Is there any chance that the striper are also waiting for the water to clear before spawning? Or does the water clarity/condition not effect spawning? I can't imagine that it would help the process but I would be lying if I even acted like I know what I'm talking about! I caught a pair of spawned out fish before the recent rains and the fish I have caught since a couple days after the rain are all fat with eggs and sperm. Btw fishing near saugerties....
