Thumbs up Plymouth/Duxbury Kingston Bay yesterday am

headed out in the pouring rain and wind yesterday and the trip would have been absolutely awful except we came onto an all out blitz not more than 5 minutes out of the harbor.... the interesting thing is that 1) the blitz lasted over two hours! 2)and the fish stayed all in the same area.... with the wind and water pushing us around I had to keep moving up wind etc but this was incredible... somewhere between 15-20 bass for our efforts!.... the largest was about 24" and most right in the 18-20" range..... not sure where the big guys were (perhaps underneath or still making their way up the coast....)
what a day! makes you not care about being soaked and freezing cold..

If you fished the same school of fish for a couple hours, perhaps the big fish were not with that school, a lot of times if i find a school of small fish i'll stay on them for a while, and start looking for another school of usually larger fish after i've figured out there aren't any big fish in the school or below the school....who cares though, it's the middle of may and we all had a long winter, i would of loved to of had a day like that right about now!

good point..... we actually did leave the school eventually looking a little further out but at that point we were drenched, cold, and hungry.... As we were leaving the blitz I thought it's not that often a guy like me LEAVES an all out blitz!.... 4" storm shads took all of them except my buddy got one on a popper...

All that counts is that you had a great time, and came back safe with that type of weather!
