Hi fishead.
i moved your post to the New England forum since scusset beach is on the east end of cape cod. I dont know anything about the beach however it looks very fishy.

You may wanna go to the end, or almost end of the jetty when the tide starts to run East out of the Canal, and fish the beach side of it.

That being said, It looks fishy, I have heard of success there, but it a long walk on a big jetty.

use your judgement.

I've seen this be a productive area, BUT you need to rig for it. Heavy lines and jigs (bucktails- 4-5 oz or big heads on sluggos). Good luck on your trip.

Default Fish??

Well I Just got back from the weekend. The report is "very windy and slow". I beat my head against the rocks throwing everything from jigs, Big Macks, spoons, and the only thing that did anything was cut bait. I only saw a couple fish taken the whole weekend and two were just leagal and the rest where short.
My girlfriend caught one short striper and she still hasn't stoped talking about it since we left. I got skunked had one decent run thaught I had him comming in and pop goes the hook. That is my luck. Everybody says the run is just a little late this year. Who knows I know I had a good time even if I didn't catch the monster. Hopfully I will be in naragansette bay next weekend. Time for a drink and some lobster.
