Here you go krow. These two are easy to read.

The canal is 8 miles long chunks of bunker, mackeral, fresh or frozen is state of the art for the canal. Live eels are best in the mud flats (Tidal flats rec area).
Plugs will give you mobilty and cover more ground.

I have heard that the canal fishing has died off though. Heard that this past weekend.

Check with the guys at Red Top in Buzzards Bay when you get there.

If you've got more than one rod,get some bucktail jigs and some calamari and jig for fluke, they're usually there this time of year.

Chunk pogies are a good bait for Striper, and like Jim said try throwing plug,Buzzards Bait is a great shop located at the rotary by the Maritime Academy, they might be able to point you in the right direction.

a few years ago i stayed at the bourne scenic park, got into the blues one morning real early on sand eels, got some decent bass on chunk macks early evenings and at night. the key is to bring a bike and travel to where the fish are, the canal is very big and holds many fish, too bad they are not all in one spot. if your staying at the park you dont have to go too far for a chance at a few good fish.
