Water clear; 79 degrees; 1018':

Stripers are fair to good early from Garrett Island toward the Dam on the surface over 30' jigging pearl Blade Runners(www.lakeviewlures.com), diving Rat-L-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com), Albino Snap Back soft jerkbaits (www.terminatorlures.com) rigged on a 5/0 Bait Jerker Hook (www.falconlures.com) and tight-lining live shad.

Bass are good at daylight on secondary creek points and the Apple Orchard in 4'-12' using white-chartreuse Terminator buzzbaits (www.terminatorlures.com), 1/4 oz. Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Traps www.rat-l-trap.com), & weighted watermelon-red soft jerkbaits. After mid-morning watermelon Scoundrel worm (www.cremelure.com) rigged on a 1/8 oz.
jighead , drop shot rigged watermelon Devil's Tongues fished down boulder ledges along main-lake bluffs produce.

Water clear; 80 degrees; 1017.80':

Stripers are only fair to 26" at night and very early AM over humps in 30' on black back 3" Spoiler Shads www.cremelure.com), Pirk Minnows, white Blade Runners (www.lakeviewlures.com).

Largemouth are fair to good at daylight in 3'-15' along laydowns, bluffs and seconday creek points using a white 7/16 Tungsten spinnerbait (www.terminatorlures.com, Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Trap www.rat-l-trap.com and Texas rigged watermelon-red Craw Tubes (www.cremelure.com).
Bluffs, deep water boat docks and ledges are producing on watermelon-red Whacky Sticks, 4" Scoundrel worms and pitching 1/8 oz. pumpkin-brown Tiny-T jigs.

Stripers are fair to good at night and first light around lighted boat docks
using 3" Spoiler Shads and bucktail jigs w/ white curl tail grubs. After
sunrise try vertically jigging 30' humps along the main channel
w/ 1/2 oz. Pirk Minnows, pearl Blade Runners (www.lakeviewlures.com)
or drifting live bait.


Largemouth are good at first light along stickups and laydowns on mainlake points 4'-10' deep using 7/16 oz. white-chart. Terminator tungsten (www.terminatorlures.com) spinnerbait, blue Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com) and wacky rigged watermelon-chart. Whacky Sticks (www.cremelure.com). After sunrise, shaded areas like docks, ledges & off-shore submerged mainlake humps in 10'-20' produce working a Carolina rigged grn-pumpkin Snap Lizard, 6" pumpkin Scoundrel worm on a 1/8 oz. JDC jighead, deep diving crankbaits and drop shots using 4" rootbeer JDC Drop Shot worm (www.jdcbaits.com).

White Bass are fair at night under lights in 10'-20' on Lit'l Fishies and
1/8 oz. Blade Runners and Spoiler Shads(www.cremelure.com).

Water clear; 86 degrees; 1017':

Largemouth are fair to good at daylight in 4'-12' along breaklines of creek or flats w/stickups and laydowns using white-char. 1/4 oz. Terminator buzzbaits (www.terminatorlures.com), wacky rigged pumpkin Whacky Sticks(www.cremelure.com) rigged on 3/0 "K" Wacky Hooks (www.falconlures.com) and watermelon Skip-N-Pop topwaters (www.jdcbaits.com) and Rat-L-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com). Under blue bird conditions, check rockpiles and brush on mainlake drop-offs in 12'-20' with a Carolina rigged pumpkin/char. Snap Back Lizard or grn-pumpkin creature baits and Camo JDC Drop Shot Worm on a drop shot rig.

Stripers are fair to 24" at night under lights and at daylight from Crystal Cove to the Dam on white 3" Spoiler Shads, Blue 1/2 oz. Pirk Minnows and drifting live bait.

Water clear; 78-82 degrees; 1016.40':

LARGEMOUTH are good at 1st light along 3'-6' creek channel breaklines
on silver Terminator buzzbaits (www.terminatorlures.com) chrome-chart.
Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com), 3" Daquiri Skip-N-Pop
topwaters (www.jdcbaits.com) & wacky rigged watermelon Whacky
Sticks (www.cremelure.com) on "K" Wacky Hook (www.falconlures.com).
Later in the day, working submerged mainlake humps and brushpiles w/a
Carolina rigged green-pumpkin Snap Back creature bait, pitching deep-
water boat docks w/a watermelon-red Craw Tube or deep diving crank-
baits produces.

STRIPERS are fair at daylight chasing baitfish on the surface in the general
area of Crystal Cove using Rattlin' Rogues, Zara Spook and 1/2 oz. silver
Pirk Minnows.

Water clear; 78-83 degrees; 1015.17'

Largemouth are fair to good from first light until midmorning in 5'-8'
of water above and along primary breaklines of creek points and
over flats with stumps and laydowns using a 1/4 oz. Bleeding Shad
Rat-L-Trap (www.rat-l-trap.com), white-chart. 7/16 oz. Terminator
tungsten spinnerbait (www.terminatorlures.com), 5" green-pumpkin
Whacky Sticks (www.cremelure.com) preferably wacky rigged on
3/0 "K" Wacky Hooks (www.falconlures.com). Later, work bluffs w/a
3" wtrmelon JR. Craw (www.jdcbaits.com) or rootbeer grub down
ledges as deep as 20' to locate and attract suspending bass.
Submerged mainlake humps and brushpiles in 15'- 25' are holding
suspended bass during the day.

STRIPERS are improving slowly, following schools of baitfish as shallow
as 20' beneath the surface. Trolling 1/2 oz. striper jigs, vertically
jigging silver Pirk Minnows, white 1/4 oz. bucktails w/plastic trailers
and drifting live bait produces w/varying results just after first light.

Largemouth are good to 6 lbs. early in 5'-12' along laydowns on points
using a 1/4 oz. silver shad Terminator "Red Series" spinnerbait
(www.terminatorlures.com), 1/8 oz. Tiny-T buzzbaits, Bleeding Shad Rat-L-Traps (www.rat-l-trap.com) and pumpkin Skip-N Pop topwaters (www.jdcbaits.com). Along deeper ledges (6'-15') a grn-pump. 6" Scoundrel worm (www.cremelure.com) on a jighead, 4" watermelon-red fleck JDC Strike Grub and a smoke-blue Super Tube produces.

Stripers are fair over mainlake humps in 25'-30' from Flag Island to Black Rock downrigging white striper jigs, swimming 3" Spoiler Shads (www.cremelure.com) and drifting live bait.

Lake Buchanan: Water clear; 50 degrees; 1013.21' (7' Low)
Stripers are good in infrequent schooling action & on down to 30' on Red Fins, 3" Spoiler Shads, Snap Back soft jerkbaits rigged on weighted RED
Bait Jerker hooks and tightlining live bait.

Largemouth are fair from 8' to 25' along ledges and deeper
breaklines of creeks using chartreuse-pumpkin Carolina rigged
Snap Back lizards, pitching pumpkin-red Craw Tubes and
watermelon-black Drop Shot worms.

White Bass are slow and small jigging silver Pirk Minnows,
1/8 oz. Tiny Traps and swimming 2" pearl Spoiler Shads.

Lake Buchanan: Water clear-murky; 51 degrees; 1013' (7' low)
Largemouth are fair to good in 10'-20' along secondary and main-
lake creek points in using Smokin' Green Devil's Tongues on
drop shot rigs and smoke JDC Craws on jigheads. Brushpiles on
channel breaklines & shallow water boat docks in 6'-10' produce
pitching blk-purple 1/cozy. Terminator Pro Series jigs w/pork trailers
and 1/32 oz. weighted, wacky rigged 5" Wacky Sticks on 3/0 "K"
Wacky Hooks by Falcon Lures.
Stripers are good to very good from The Willows to Mud Island in 20' to 25' vertically jigging silver Pirk Minnows, swimming "natural" Spoiler
Shads, trolling white striper jigs and drifting live bait.
White Bass uplake from Paradise Point are improving along
points in 15'-25' where the main channel and creeks intersect
casting 2" Spoilers Shads, jigging Pirk Minnows and trolling large
Shad Raps.
Crappie are fair to good on pink-chartreuse crappie jigs and
minnows.

Default Lake Buchanan (TX) Guide Reports

Lake Buchanan: Water clear; 48-50 degrees; 1013.06' (7' low)
Cold fronts slow the bass bite for maybe a day or two before they go
on a feeding binge as the weather stabilizes. On the other hand,
cooler water temperatures kick start the stripers and white bass.
Largemouth are sluggish in 8'-25' over brushpiles along bluff ledges
using watermelon Devil's Tongues or camo JDC Drop Shot Worms on
drop shot rigs and Carolina rigged watermelon-red Snap Back lizards.

Stripers are good from The Willows uplake in 22'-30' drifting live bait,
vertically jigging 1/2 oz. silver Pirk Minnows, Albino Snap Back soft
jerkbaits rigged on a 3/0 RED Bait Jerker Hook (Falcon Lures) and
trolling 1/2 oz. striper jigs.

White Bass are fair to good w/limits of fish up to 2 lbs. on points at
Morgan Creek and from Beaver Creek to Mud Island trolling deep
diving Shad Raps, casting 2" Spoiler Shads and jigging 1/4 oz. Pirk
Minnows.

Stripers are very good from Shaw Island uplake along Beaver Creek and Hog Island to Mud Island w/some surface action in /over 22'-30' drifting or freelining live bait, vertically jigging 1/2 oz. silver Pirk Minnows and trolling 1/2 oz. striper jigs.

Largemouth are fair in 12'-25' along bluff ledges and breaklines of
creek channels on Carolina rigged watermelon-red Snap Back
pumpkin-chartreuse lizards, smokin' green Devil's Tongues on drop
shot rigs, smoke-red JDC Drop Shot worms and suspending jerkbaits.

White Bass are good from Paradise point to Mud Island jigging
1/4 oz. silver or chartreuse Pirk Minnows, casting 2" Spoiler Shads,
1/8 oz. Tiny Traps, jigging 1/4 oz. silver or chartreuse Pirk Minnows
and trolling deep diving Shad Raps.

Largemouth are good in 3'-6' inside of secondary points
of creeks and pockets using weightless Texas and wacky
rigged (w/3/0 "K" Wacky Hooks) pumpkin-chartreuse Whacky
Sticks white-chartreuse Terminator spinnerbaits, crawfish
Rat-L-Traps and 5" watermelon-red JDC Craw on jigheads.
Stripers are good in 28' above Shaw Island uplake drifting
live bait, trolling striper jigs and casting 3" Spoiler Shads
and Albino Snap Back jerkbaits rigged on weighted RED
Bait Jerker Hooks by Falcon Lures to schooling fish.
White Bass are good from Paradise Point to the river jigging
Pirk Minnows, 2" Spoiler Shads and trolling crankbaits.
Crappie N/A
Channel Catfish are good.
Flathead and Blue Catfish are good on juglines.

tungsten spinnerbaits.
Stripers are fair drifting live bait and trolling striper jigs in
30' from below Shaw Island to the dam with topwater action
at daylight on 3" Spoiler Shads and white Snap Back jerkbaits
rigged on a red Bait Jerker Hook.
White Bass are fair to good but small at night under lights.
Crappie are fair over brushpiles on minnows.

Largemouth are good in 5'-12' along mainlake points using
smokin' green Devil's Tongues on drop shots, rootbeer JDC
Craws on jigheads and deep diving Tennesse Shad crankbaits.
Stripers are fair to good at daylight, on the surface from Flag
Island to Lighthouse Point using Albino Snap Back soft jerkbaits
on weighted hooks, 2" Lit'l Fishie Shads and Red Fins.
Later, drifting live bait in 28' should produce.
White Bass are fair over 30' vertically jigging Pirk Minnows
and trolling "deep" Shad Raps.
