Not sure about fresh. Hmmmm....I dont recall if they have a craw scent. I use the Herring flavor alot in brackish water during the Spring Herring (Alewive) Run. I fish below a dam/fishladder at the head of tide between May and June, and I smear the Smelly Jelly all over my surface plugs and swimmers. Works great on Tsunami poppers!

I fish a lot like Johnny does, just one state north and use the herring flavor to fill the slit in a bass assassin.

Stuff works

Far as I'm concerned anything that covers up the smells of nicotine, Gasoline, lysene (sp?) (a chemical in human skin that puts off fish) and other nasties is a good idea.

here here! people laugh at me using surgical gloves (i rinse them in sea water as well) when i was a kid an old timer used to put bait on his hook with a plastic baggie and told me how they smell everything. looked at my fingers (could tell i got high) and said " the fish don't get stoned and will smell the weed that comes off my yellow fingertips' kinda got insulted but lmfao and learned something that day. BTW, FLUKE FEST IS A KILLER

I slather it on bare hooks at my lakehouse... 'nightcrawler' scent. Slaws the catfish. Its funnty, I dont even need to put on bait, they just smell it and gobble it up. Haha

Just remember it stinks like ass. Dont spill it in the tackle box. Almost as nasty as bunker oil just a tad fruitier.

Where did you order it from? I've seen it in Bass Pro and Cabelas, but they don't list that scent.
