Re: Organizing the get together.
OK,,, The Roc is officaly IN,Normaly I wouldnt leave the fish we have here, but I dont fish bass on weekends so it's a road trip.... I re read the entire post. "eelin mans paradise" got my attention..... I've got some "super sized" 2'+ snakes in one of my keepers that I will skin to make a few skin plugs with.. I'll also rig a few dead ones in case those toothy yellow eyed devils show up... The trapping has been good so I'll bring 50 or so live ones with me...
I'll try to get out and get some fresh Macks for cut bait between now and then, the blues have them scattered, but I am still getting a few in a few of my inshore spots.
The boss lady volenteered to make us a pulled pork, I may put the generator in the truck ( locked and chained down of coarse) to heat it in the crock pot, or, I just may dig out the camping gear and see what I have that can go on the coleman stove...

Re: Organizing the get together.
I'm pretty sure my wife and kids will tag along for the BBQ & sand in the afternoon. I'll take em home when that's done, put the kids in bed and come back out to fish the rest of the night. I have a medium sized charcoal grill I can bring if an extra is needed.

Jim,
Where in mass are you, I might make this trip myself as well. Car pooling might be a reasonable idea, providing there is space for gear.

Re: Organizing the get together.
Man oh man oh man...........................
Here is the tentative plan on my end...........................
I will be leaving my house at approx. 9 Am. I will have my charcoal grill/ smoker lashed into the truck with plenty of charcoal and hardwood.
I have change my grill contribution to my world famous slap yo' mamma chicken thighs marinated for 3 days and you will wanna slap yo mamma after eating them for not cookin that good for you when you was growin up!
I will be posting signs along the non highway part of the route to the tail.
I will be at the tail approx 10:30 getting the grill going.
Roc, I can not wait to meet and fish with you as well as the rest of the folks coming this way! I was going to set up an Eel supply but I guess you got that covered.Jim, if you make it, I will be doubly excited.
For any new to the terrain guy's, I will be giving a seminar on rocky coast striper fishing complete with dry erase board! I will be posting a recommended gear list as we get closer to this looking better every day event.
So far around 20, and climbing.

Re: Organizing the get together.
I'm not sure if my wife is going to make this one. She messed her back up pretty bad the other day at work and the company she works for aint steppin up to the plate as of yet.
It looks like this multi-million dollar corporation is gonna force us to find a bottom feeder.
Keep crunchin they'll make more.

Damn western mass, so close but so far away....anyways problably doesn't make much sense to carpool with you being all the way out there. For some reason I thought you were closer to boston. However if you know somewhere to meet in the middle I have no problem driving good ol' civic gets good gas mileage.
