New striper fisherman here !!! looking to make bait tank for my boat.. I have a 30 gallon plastic barrel that used to contain a herbicide...Is there any way to get this one safe enough to keep bait in?..Mainly shad....has anyone else cleaned out a barrel that contained herbicide? thanks for the help....
I would start by rinsing it out a few times first, then get some dish washing soap, and start scrubbing it (wear gloves) down good. I would then do the same with baking soda (to neutralize), then do the soap & scrub once more. Let it air dry for a few day's, should be good to go after that.
