Hey guys, This is my first season fishing for stripers on my own boat and I own an Abu Garcia 6600 reel on a 6' ugly stick. I was wondering if the rod and reel were strong enough to pull in some stripers. Also I have 30 lb power pro line. Thanks

Sounds fine to me. I have pulled in 30lb fish with my 6500 and an ocean master rod I got from cabelas.

Thanks alot, and how would we the best way to set it up to chunk with bunker?
I like using a fish finder rig with three to four feet of fluorocarbon leader snelled to a 7/0 or 8/0 in line circle hook.
