Default The other new guy

Hi everybody. I have been striper fishing for about three years now, going about two or three times each year with a buddy from the New Paltz area. I'm just checking in and will be following the discussions here. I love being on the Hudson looking for big linesiders. Unfortunately, I live a ways away from the river, so I can only make a few trips each season. I'm here looking for some tips to help me land a few big ones this season. Tight lines everybody!

That avatar pic looks familiar Mr. K. I hope you catch one like that this season!

Welcome to the site, man. If you're fishin from shore in that area, do a google map search for all the points and places where land sticks out into the water, or areas near bridges where you can fish from shore and have access to deeper water. Fresh bait is a good thing to concnetrate on unless you're in a boat. Get ready to fish, they're catching them now, but it's a little slow. If you live a ways from there, try to concentrate on sunny days and afternoons. good luck.
