Welcome to the site Goadi. Glad ya joined. Stick around, join in the discussions, and let us get to know you. Most people here will be pretty tight lipped about locations until they know they can trust you.
The blues are usually thrashing the river around this time. Just look for them on the surface usually easy to find as the river isn't that big. As far as bass fish towards the mouth at night with live bait. And lock your doors.
thanks for the welcome and tips. heading out this morning for the weekend. will poke around the area and see whats rising. glad to find this site. I do mostly fly but just bought a yak and look forward to hitting some estuaries. Mostly work the RI coast by westerly.
Ah,,, another yakker
Water is pretty warm right now. Best bet is at night if you want bass. However, if you're taking the yak out during the day, look at a chart and find some of the deeper holes within paddling distance and fish some jigs deep. Watch the weather.... could turn a bit nasty later...
