wave.gifHello all.
I'm Chris and I'm from Ocean Co. NJ. I work as a career firefighter.
New to the forum and the addiction.
Been out a few times so far at IBSP. Called it "practicing my casting" since it didn't result in anything.
Here to learn what the heck I'm supposed to be doing out there.
Hey chris,
I'm a Monmouth Co guy, but welcome to th site, and what kind of fishing have you been doing, bait or throwing lures? If bait, the bass are currently feeding on bunker, buy the freshest bunker you can find, cut it into 5 or 6 pieces, head/body/body/body/tail, hook a body piece on a 6/0 or 7/0 or 8/0 hook on a fishfinder rig, and be patient. Let us know what you're trying, and we'll try to help you out. Oh yeah bass love the bunker heads too.
So far I've only cast bait, chucks actually.
Going out tomorrow morning. If nothing else it should be a nice day.
Got the stuff for the fish finder rig and I'm gonna give that a try tomorrow.
Welcome to the site Chris. You have come to the right place. Try some bunker heads, bunker chunks, fresh clams. When you get the bite with the fishfinder rig, let them take it for a while, I usually wait about a good 10 seconds. Then set and hold on! Good luck! :welcomeaboard::cheers:
