yellow tag

One bass for my 12 year old son his first, had a yellow tag in it's
back. It said return Littoral Soc. Highands,nj. anybody know about
that there is no phone number. We'll be on the water today all day
again maybe Dad can get the skunk off Boy 1 Dad 0

Finny...did you keep the bass or release it? The American Littoral Society is the tag owner and the normal procedure if you catch a fish with their tag in it is to return the tag with a tag return form that can be downloaded off their website with any harvest info specifics. In return they send you the history of the fish you caught, where else its been tagged, growth rate....that type of stuff. they also send you a jacket patch and info about them. I also got a tag today in Croton, mine says to mail to HRF and that there is a reward fof $5-$1000.00 Pretty cool I never saw one before.

Nick....good luck you have a Hudson river Foundation tag (HRF)...212-924-8290. There are at least 10 different groups
that tag fish along the coast. Good luck with the reward.

I got a tagged one last year near Catskill. The tag was from the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. Got the history of the fish, it's pretty cool and a choice of a hat or a pewter striper hat pin. Took the hat pin. My fish was tagged in 2002 in Chesapeake Bay.
