Default hey guys im new here

hey my name is kenny and i am new to the site and am looking for ANY sort of pointers or anything that i could use. i would like to know how long i can still fish for stripers i live in new england and im not sure. i also want to start making my own lures and such so if any one could help i would really appreciate it. Thank you

You should be able to fish for stripers for as long as the water temps hold and bait is around. Pretty sure it will be good fishing through october (getting better now, buildilng to climax) into November, possibly December, again depending on temp and presence of bait. If you look into the water and see baitfish, still good fishing. Just my .02 though. I'm from CT.
It is not fear that grips him... only a heightened sense of things.

First off welcome to the site... He pretty much summed up my thoughts... as for the plug building check out the rod and lure building page on this site... THE ROC has an amazing step by step of a danny and there are a TON of amazing tid bits of info in there.

thanks guys i really appreciate it i thought everyone was gunna be like look at this kid and not talk to me haha but i really love fishing and i never ever stop doing it or thinking about it it is only my second year striper fishing and it is amazing anly caught a few schoolies but with enough time and practice im bound to get something and have any of you older guys ever heard or Gibbs Lures? thanks guys ps. if you guys know any good spots id love to here about them no secret spots but any place that will increase my odds.

There are plenty of good fella's on this site. Plenty of info as well. Get out there now to fish. They will be around for awhile yet, but not all winter. The fall run is on.
For the plug thing, I copy familiar styles. Darters are my thing. The weighting is the key, as well as a good sealing. And try 'em to make sure they swim properly.
