What are your go to's? I only get to fish the Canal a few times ayear. Apparently on the bad days. But. Hoiping to get there more this season with a cruiser.

Bombers? My favorite all around plug.
Too bad it's so quiet around here. So I'll just make some noise.
When I wanna go deep, I bring out the buck tail jig. When I need distance for perhaps breaking fish, I usually use the 4oz crippled herring. When I wanna work the top water, it's usually an SS popper or a pencil. For subsurface, X- Raps, Sp minnows, magic swimmers, etc. Favorite darter is tattoo.
By Far my most productive offerings at the ditch are the SP minnow (remove back and hook and upgrade mid body hook) North Bar bottle darter in Mackerel. Slack tide SS darters seem to work well. And always carry white bucktails in 3-5 oz.
Crippled herring work great certain times of the year when the fish are picky and eating very small things.
