Hi to all you Stripers247 out there.
I’ve been fishing most of my life, except for the last 20 some on years. Gave it up for I got sick with Lyme. This past summer when I was in VT with my future son-in-law I help him purchased a fly rod from Orvis. When I got home, well that got me going, so I found my fly tying material, tied a few flies and went fishing. Yes I got few trout despite the bad conditions.
Other day I came across my saltwater stuff most of it from the sixties. Guess what I cleaned it up and going tomorrow for the first time in 30 years ether to Sandy hook or Island Beach. Might even spring for a 4x4 beach pass for next year. Since most of my tackle was rusty. Went to the local shop and purchased some gear, even got a good price on a 13Ft Sealine rod (knowing that sometimes my 9 footer can not cannot reach those really far frenzies or the waves catch the line.
Yea I’m still sick but what the heck I’m going out there and fish. So if you see me on the surf and it look like I’m a goo and all over the place, it’s my Lyme
