Default Tica Surf Rods

I just bought a 9' Tica Surf Rod and put a Penn 6500ss loaded with 20lb Power Pro and would like to know if anyone has any info about the rods and how they hold up.

I too own a Tica 9; surf rod (Dolphin). I like it a lot, does well in the surf. I use a Quantum Cabo 50, loaded with either 30lb PP or Sufix. I think you'll enjoy it.

Im with ddp on that. The Tica dolphin is a fairly decent rod and will hold up for you.
A step up from the Tsunamis.

Thank guys, I have been fishing with 7' ugly sticks so it seems alittle big but I can cast a mile with it. I have yet to catch a fish with it though.

I have this same rod (different reel), it performs well. Very versatile, whether chuckin eels or plugs.

Have 3 different TICA's and for the price I think they're one of the best going.
Thinking about a 12' heavy at this point. Maybe for next year.

Before you get the 12' Tica be sure to check out the Ocean Master. In the inexpensive heaver category the OM has been making a name for itself.

I have two TICA UEHA Series Graphite Surf Rods loaded with 50lb PP or spider wire; one is 9', 2-6 oz, and the other is one piece, 8' 1/2-2 oz. So far, I love them.
