I'm lookin' to start my season next week in that general area. Just got back from vacation down in Virginia Beach and from what I was told, not a linesider left to be had so get ready y'all they're on the way. Got my gear dusted off and ready to dip in the brine. Good luck to a fruitfull season to everyone!

Hey bro, I'm from the area (although presently in a very lovely shithole called afghanistan). Sportsman's den on southern artery 3A in Quincy is good. Buy some tackle from him, and then politely break the ice on stripe bass. Also, try Belsan's Bait and tackle. Buy a jig from him and ask him. He has a decent website too. They are the two primary tackle shops that are worth a damn in the area. It's not to say I won't buy sea worms or other stuff from the other guys, but those two are pretty spot on. Look for structure around the fore river erea. That's as far north as I go.

I've always got into schoolies in the area by late April, but I think it's going to be an early season. I'm half way around the earth, so I could be wrong.

I fished the canal Tuesday night thur Wednesday there are some larger fish showing up and there spread out because there's pogies in pods in areas. Saw 4 seals. First fish of the season was 27" and the second was a dink.....no others were caught....at the canal at least....the local rivers are hot!
